What's a Youth to do?
Fridays 5:30 - 7:00 CoSY Cafe at Balfron Church Rooms CoSY is a night for hanging out, making friends, and having a lot of fun. We use the church rooms and pack it full with activities from our store - mini pool table, games console, dance mats, table tennis, We also provide a separate section where you can chill out, either playing games, listening to music or simply chatting with friends all accompanied by hot chocolate and tray bakes in the winter and Ice Cool Juice and Munchies in the summer. Part way through the night we have group time where we all can do something together such as Playing group games, Drama, Dance or just being silly together. We are trying to discourage the weekly beanbag fight where the boys are currently beating the girls but who knows, It doesn't help when the leaders are starting such sillyness.Check out our photo album.
Entry money is donated to a charity of the group’s choice during the Year.
Last Year we donated to a Children’s Hospice... (More to come here with Pictures and info) All this for an amazing £1 Update: This is now proving to be very popular with as many as 20 young people attending each week. They enjoy chatting to one another over a drink and a snack then enjoying games, watching a DVD, cooking etc.
We have been very fortunate to have had a drumming evening when Ian Armstrong came to give them a taster session on how to play the drums. The girls in particular enjoyed an evening when Claire Crawford came to give them tips on make up. We are looking forward to an evening when they are going to make bird houses with the help of a parent, Mr Beutther and Ed Wilson.
At the moment we are extremely short of leaders and would ask you to seriously and prayerfully consider whether you could help with this very worthwhile and rewarding task.
