Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. The theme of the World Mission report to the General Assemble this year was Invest in Peace with particular focus on Israel and Palestine. We are asked to help, one person cannot do everything but together we can make a difference. Suggestions below.
PRAY/WORSHIP * Wherever you are at noon on a Thursday join the Wave of Prayer for peace and justice * Remember all Church of Scotland staff working in the Holy Land * Sing the new hymn 'Lord Jesus you wept for Jerusalem
GIVE * £10 to the Al-shurooq School for blind children * £100 towards Christian Aid's work in Gaza * Support the Guild project Interfaith Action * Give 3 months of your time working with the Ecumenical Accompaniers Programme * make or buy a gift of fairly-traded products from Hadeel in Palestine.

JOIN * Scottish Palestinian Forum * The Friends of Tabeetha School * The Friens of St Andrew's Church
Write *Send a Christmas card to Christians living in Bethlehem * Writ to your MP or local Ambassador to Britain reinforcing opposition to ilegal settlements.
MEET * Invite a Church of Scotland Mission Partner volunteer to speak at your church * Go to Isreal & Palestine on pilgrimage and meet Christians living there. * Twin your congregation with a church in the Middle East. * Invite Jewish or Muslim neighbours to talk about their faith.
